Senior Specialist, Strategic Relations Management

JOB PURPOSE:


Maintain liaison with external stakeholders in the Middle East and the rest of the world  in order to ensure common goals and plans are set and implemented. Contribute to the formulation, implementation and tracking of elements of the External Stakeholder Management strategy related to the Middle East and the rest of the world n order to help ADNOC fulfil the role its strategic objectives.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
 Maintain liaison with external stakeholders in the Middle East and the rest in order to ensure common goals and plans are set and implemented.
 Track and record the relationship between ADNOC and external stakeholders in Middle East and the rest of the world by providing an effective channel for communication and controlling all incoming and outgoing correspondence addressed to the ADNOC

Group CEO and TEO.
 Contribute to the formulation, implementation and tracking of elements of the External Stakeholder Management strategy related to the Middle East and the rest of world in order to help ADNOC fulfil the role its strategic objectives.
 Develop an appropriate external stakeholder engagement strategy in order to facilitate external stakeholder management pertaining to Middle East and the rest of the world.
 Handle the measurement of Middle East and the rest of the world stakeholders’ satisfaction and prioritization of stakeholder engagements based on ADNOC strategic and operational imperatives.
 Deal with all Middle East and Africa stakeholder correspondence and maintain an efficient flow of information/data coming in and going out of the ADNOC Group CEO’s office.
 Design and recommend strategies to enhance ADNOC’s reputation with Middle East and Africa stakeholders and support in raising the profile of ADNOC to improve its standing and credibility as one of the leading oil and gas companies.
 Represent the section when it comes to related events to enhance and nurture strong ties and relationships between ADNOC and relevant entities in the Middle East and Africa.
 Develop and implement standards, procedures, and tools that enable and encourage best practices and consistency in acknowledgement, recognition, and reporting across external stakeholder areas pertaining to the Middle East and the rest of the world.
 Lead strategy discussions and recommend and coordinate next actions for the effective management of external stakeholders in the Middle East and the rest of the world
 Maintain accurate records and information on external stakeholders in the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Generic Accountabilities
Supervision
 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.

Budgets
 Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
 Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
 Provide inputs to prepare Management Information System and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
 Manager, Stakeholder Management (External) Department and peers within the Department
 Peers within & outside the Function/Directorate.
External
 External stakeholders in Asia Pacific.
 Shareholders as required.
 Counterparts & members of the ADNOC Group, as required.
 Local and international vendors, contractors and third party service providers.
 Government organisations and entities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration / Management or relevant discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
 10 years of experience in stakeholder relations and stakeholder relationship management.
 Good understanding of global energy issues and market forces.
 Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is required.
